What customers say
Came out and quoted my gutters the same day I requested it! Came out and cleaned my gutters and did some repair while they were up there for a reasonable price! Going to use them for my windows in the spring. Great service
Amazing! Sent in a request form on their website in the morning, heard back that afternoon, and booked for the next day. Very fast, reliable, and efficient.
They are efficient, hardworking, and reliable. I’ll definitely call them again for other services. Highly recommended!

Plenty of people in Parksville, Qualicum Beach and the communities around them have reached the point where a ladder is no longer part of their plans. Others are here for the summer and somewhere warmer for the winter, or they own a cottage up the coast that they visit a few times a year. The gutters on all of these homes still fill, and the rain still arrives from October on. Gutter maintenance is for the owner who wants to hand the whole thing over: we clean, we check, we fix the small things and we tell you what we found.
What one visit covers
Every maintenance visit starts with a full clean. Needles, leaves, moss and grit come out by hand, everything is bagged and driven away, and each downspout is flushed until it drains freely.
Then we look over the system while we are still at the eave. Hangers: are any bent, loose or pulled out of the board? Seams and corners: any drips or old sealant cracking? End caps, outlets and the joints in each downspout. Straps holding the downspouts to the wall. The fascia board behind the gutter, which goes soft when water runs down behind it. If a screw needs tightening or an end cap needs resealing, we do it then and there. If something needs more than that, we tell you and quote it separately.

If you have stopped climbing
There is no shame in it. Falls from ladders around the home are a real risk at any age, and much more serious as we get older. Qualicum Beach has one of the oldest populations in Canada by median age, and Parksville has a lot of retired households too, so this is a common reason people call us.
A maintenance visit means nobody in the house needs to go up, check the gutters from a window or wonder whether the overflow at the corner is getting worse. Tell us once about the gate, the outside tap and the dog, and the visits run without you needing to supervise.
If you winter away
An empty house is still collecting rain. If a gutter blocks in December while you are away, the overflow can soak a garden bed against the foundation or run down behind the fascia for weeks before anyone sees it.
The usual pattern for owners who leave for the winter is a visit just before departure, once the fall leaves are mostly down, then another in spring after they come back. Under heavy fir or late-dropping maples, a mid-winter visit while the house is empty can be worth adding.

If it is a cottage or a rental
Cottages and vacation rentals along the shore at French Creek, Dashwood, Qualicum Bay and Bowser often sit under big Douglas fir and western red cedar and see nobody on the roof from one year to the next. A cabin used mostly in summer can spend the whole wet season with blocked gutters.
We can fit visits between guest bookings or into an empty week. If there are tenants or a caretaker, give us their contact and we work around them. The report comes to you, wherever you are.
The work
On the job

If you have just moved here
A lot of people arrive in Oceanside from somewhere else, and the house comes with gutters nobody has explained. The first maintenance visit tells you what you have: how much falls into them, which runs fill first, whether the downspouts drain, and whether any part of the system needs work. That gives you a sensible basis for how often to book after that.

What you hear from us
After each visit you get a short message with what came out, anything we fixed and anything that needs a decision. Where something needs your attention, we describe where it is on the house and why it matters. You decide what happens next.
Choosing how often
Open lot with no big trees: once a year, late fall. Fir, cedar or maple near the roof: twice, fall and spring. A cottage in the trees that sits empty: make sure the spring visit happens, because that is when the winter’s load is sitting in the gutters. Many owners book the next visit as we finish the current one. The first quote is free, and every visit is covered by our guarantee.

We carry insurance and WCB coverage on every visit, we are locally owned, with 10+ years on Vancouver Island rooflines and our guarantee.
Got questions?
Gutter maintenance questions
What is the difference between a clean and a maintenance visit?
A clean empties the gutters and flushes the downspouts. A maintenance visit does that and then looks over the whole system: hangers, seams, outlets, end caps, straps and the fascia behind.
Small fixes we can make on the visit get made, and anything bigger is reported to you.
I am away from November to March. When should you come?
Ideally just before you leave, once most of the leaves are down, and again in spring after you are back. If your trees drop late, we can also come while you are away.
Can you deal with my tenants or rental guests?
We can work around them. Give us a contact on site or tell us when the property is empty between bookings, and we fit the visit in. The report comes to you.
What counts as a small fix?
Things like tightening a loose hanger screw, resealing a dripping end cap or corner, refitting a downspout section that has slipped out of its joint, or replacing a strap.
Anything that needs new gutter or a lot of time gets quoted separately as gutter repair.
How often should I book?
Once a year in late fall for an open lot. Twice a year, fall and spring, under fir, cedar or maple. A cottage under heavy trees that sits empty may need the spring visit most.
Do I need to be home for maintenance visits?
No. Most of our maintenance customers are not. We need access to every side, water from an outside tap and to know about gates and pets.
